Intervention for Students with Difficulty Learning Mathematics

I have been researching different forms of intervention for students requiring assistance in basic mathematics instruction. I have found and read some excellent articles but figured a summary would probably be much easier for you to read! I created a list based mostly off of two articles. Hopefully this is helpful to you- feel free to pass along to ASI or Resource teachers, as these strategies seem to be best suited for small group work.

I know that so many of you are using these already, so hopefully for you this is a good reminder that you’re doing the right thing! It’s nice to see that sometimes :-). These are also some strategies that I can employ when I work with strategy groups in your classroom. Several seem to apply specifically to Problem Solving, so this would be a great thing to do if you combine the Problem Solving and Teacher Station during Math Workshop. Again, this is definitely something I can come in and help you with!
